Things Miami Heat need to do to secure the NBA title next season: NBA Feature (Part-2)
LeBron James needs to play smart
There is no good reason why LeBron James should not own an NBA title. The 26-year-old small forward is exceptionally talented and his great physical domination makes him one of the best basketball players of his generation. With
the kind of talent LeBron James carries, he is capable of retiring with a number of NBA titles to his name.
Despite of all the talent and incredible basketball skill, there is one major thing which is hampering James from achieving his biggest dream.
By the looks of his game-play, LeBron James is more of a physical player who strikes the opposition with great aggression. He is always looking to break that rim with his hard-hitting dunk shots. Although his aggressiveness and
hard-nosed persona on the court is the only reason every opposition fears him. However his strength becomes his weakness on the big platform when mental game plays a major role.
Similar to taking the Cleveland Cavaliers on the top in the Eastern Conference, James also helped Miami Heat to finish with the second seed in the last season. However, after eight dominating years in NBA, James’ championship dream
remains unfulfilled. And the only reason behind this is lack of mind game.
In the NBA Final series, LeBron James’ performance received a major setback against the Dallas Mavericks as they overshadowed Miami Heat superstar’s aggression with smartness. Although aggressive game-play is one of the key attributes
to be the best basketball player however mind game counts a lot when u have to turn the tables or restrict the opposition from taking control. This is exactly what has happened before and happened in the NBA Finals last year. Due to lack of mental game, James
failed to restrict Dallas Mavericks from taking control down the stretch.
Seven-time NBA All-Star LeBron James needs to find his mental game in the next season and keep his aggression which will not only help him furnish his resume with championship titles, it will also make him an obstinate threat in
the league.
Help Joel Anthony develop basketball skills
At this moment, many may consider that the 29-year-old Joel Anthony is unskilled, underachiever and a below average player. However he has the talent to be a prolific player and is definitely coachable to provide
support to the team.
Miami Heat does not need a game-winner. They have three best players of the league LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh who can win a game for the team at any given day. What Heat needs is someone on the supporting cast for
the superstar trio to alleviate a little pressure. And nothing could be better if someone from the team can stand up for the job.
Miami Heat’s Joel Anthony is energetic, aggressive and has a good physical appearance to become a vital player. The team and the players should work with Anthony to prepare him for the coming years. Joel has the potential to support
the team from down the stretch and also free up a number of opportunities for the best players. He only lacks professional experience and guidance which is up to Miami Heat to take care of in order to become the next champion.
