Things To Do In Vegas?

I'm flying out to Vegas on the third and I will be staying for two days. I have no clue what to do! We'll be staying at Mandalay Bay, and I know they have the pool and the aquarium and stuff. I also heard about this one thing called the "Stratosphere," can you tell me anything about that?

Much appreciated!

  1. The Stratosphere is a big needle-like hotel at the end of the strip in Las Vegas. It has rides and you can go to the top and overlook the whole city... it's so fun!

Since this is posted in adolescents I assume you're looking for things that are not adult oriented? (No casinos?) So try out New York New York... it's fun to shop and browse and the Manhattan roller coaster is SO fun.

The Luxor has some very cool exhibits in the lower portion, and you MUST see the Fremont Street Light Show at least once. :")

There is also a very, very cool spot called The Boneyard, where old Neon and unrestored signs retired in Vegas go to die. :"P They are wicked and anyone interested in art or vintage items would love this place. (Be sure to check out the Sources List... the Boneyard Tour has to be scheduled in advance... but it's worth it!)

ETA, Hoover Dam is a site to see (gorgeous and awe-inspiring!) and if you choose to drive out there, don't forget to stop by the Boulder City Art Guild Gallery.

Whatever you do, Vegas is SO FUN, even if you don't intend to partake in the 'sins' of the city. ;) Hope you enjoy your time there!

  2. get a hooker.

  3. All good answers- I would also check out the Eiffel Tower at Paris (as long as you don't mind heights). There is a volanco outside of the Mirage and a pirate show outside of Treasure Island.  Those are all free- like the fountains at the Bellagio.  New York New York has a roller coaster too, but I've never tried it.  The MGM (which is close to you) has lions.  It's kind of cool.

  4. OOOO the stratosphere is this huge TALL building with like A HUGE TALL pin on top and on to of the base are all these rides that are ******* scary cuz ur sooooooooo high up ITS AWSOME I JUST GOT BACK FROM VEGAS YESTERDAY

  5. gamble

  6. Cool.  There is a roller coaster at the very top.  i would recomend doing that.  plus there is alot of shows to see and the shopping is great...

  7. If you are a outdoor/nature fan, then you have to check out Red Rock Canyon.  Maybe get up early for a morning hike.  http://www.redrockcanyonlv.org/  Forget it if you are they party type.

  8. Vegas is awesome.  The Stratosphere is the tallest hotel and it has some cool thrill rides at the top, very scary but fun.  Vegas also has indoor skydiving, the shark reef at mandalay bay, roller coasters at several hotels, treasure island show which is free..... check out vegas.com

  9. I live in Vegas and definetly go on rides at the stratosphere, and at circus circus. Don't gamble unless you are old enough. Just go and tour the "STRIP" while you are here in Vegas.

  10. There's tons of things, this is one place you won't be bored! The Stratosphere is a scary ride that is on top of a very tall building. You will be suspended over the side of the building as the ride spins you around and around. Very Risky but probably something you won't forget. You will have fun, don't even worry about it. I guarantee this.

Just be careful of pickpocketers. ..

  11. Stratosphere is NOT a sight to see when you are you in vegas.  Go watch a show, the "O" Show is good or the Blue Man Group.  You should also try to go  to a night club if you are into that scene.  Clubs don't close until 4 a.m. and it's definitely worth experiencing at least once in your life.  Sounds like you haven't been to Vegas before, or if you have, not very often.  Visit the beautiful hotels in the area.  They have built countless amounts of shopping centers into the hotels so visit each one, take in the sights and take some pictures.

    Hotels to visit:

Venetian & Palazzo - connected by lots of shopping

    Bellagio

    Ceasar's Palace

    Paris Las Vegas

  12. go see the blue man group... its expensive but worth it.

  13. The Stratosphere wasn't there yet when I visited Vegas several year ago so I can't comment on that, but a site you can't miss is the Bellagio Hotel, with it's magnificent fountains that "dance" to music. It might sound a little lame (I know it did when someone recommended it to me) but it actually brought me to tears it was so gorgeous, especially at night.
