Things aren’t as Bad in the Cricket Board as shown in the Media, says Ijaz Butt
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ijaz-Butt-c64128, in an interview has reiterated that the PCB has not been facing so many issues as portrait by the media in Pakistan.
Speaking to a Pakistani news channel, the chairman stressed the need for media to show some responsibility and not to criticize the cricket authorities in Pakistan every time some decision is taken by the board.
Butt revealed that it was wrong to say that the board was suffering financial losses every time a series was hosted outside the country. The chairman reiterated that at the moment there was no other option for the board but to play other nations on neutral
venues instead of Pakistan since foreign teams are still not willing to play in Pakistan due to the prevailing law and order situation of the country.
On the other hand, Butt also clarified that it was wrong to say that ever since he took charge of things in the PCB, the board and players have had estranged relationship. He insisted that it was impeccable for the players to follow discipline and players
found lacking in this regard will not be spared by the board authorities.
According to the chairman, all the players who have had their share of differences with the PCB, were guilty of violating discipline, he insisted that the PCB was one of the only few cricketing authorities which gives immense importance and respect to their
players but the cricketers also need to learn not to cross their limits.

however, the deal could not be finalized between the PCB and Chappell.
