  1. The '92 Olympics were there, seeing those facilities is really cool. If you've ever heard of Gaudi, he is an artist with lots of interesting architecture around the city, including an enormous church. Las Ramblas is one of the more interesting places you can go, but beware pickpocketers! The early 1900's were a great time in Barcelona, there's a lot of interesting things from that time period in the city. Also the Bari Gotic, where there's lots of old architecture, cool restaurants and shops, etc... And of course there are lots of museums and churches there.

  2. ok:

you have Las ramblas, La Sagrada Famila, works by the architect Gaudi, Olympic Stadium (for daytime trips).

And for the night or other entertainment:

Flea market by the Port of Barcelona

Number 34 (bar on the beach)

Supermercat (catalan for supermarkets - cheap liquor)

Oh, and OpenCor. It's like the Spanish Wawa and you can't find anything there, from food to DVDs to liquor to a bakery.

  3. Check out aboutbarcelona.com - lots of info. And have a great time! ☺

  4. Most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada Família Cathedral, and Parc Güell in the north.
