  1. sofa, tv, alarm clock, shower curtain, toilet paper

  2. Well I can certainly tell you what we have used a lot going room by room.

    Kitchen

2 non stick frying pans with lids

2 non stick saucepans with lids

    1 large saucepan with lid

    crockpot

    cookie sheet

    muffin pan

    cake pan

    pyrex casserole dish

wooden spoons, whisk, plastic scrapers, large plastic serving spoons, spatula, knives, utencils, potato masher

plates, bowls, small plates, a couple of big mixing bowls, cups or glasses.

    Bedroom

Mattress, set of sheets and blanket

    alarm clock

    Living area

couch or chairs to sit in, side table to put drinks on, television.

    Bathroom

shower curtain and liner, rug for in front of toilet and in front of tub or shower, towels, handtowels, and washclothes, and of course whatever necessities you want.

When my husband and I first moved into our first apartment we also didn't have a lot, but over time we got some things as we could afford them.

Take your time. You don't need everything at once. Get those things you will use right away and over time you can buy an item here and there.

My husband and I sat against the wall and watched a tiny little black and white television that first year of marriage and then finally over time we filled out house up with goodies. Half of the things we never did use and we recently moved and you would not believe the things I got rid of. Now we live comfortable, but simple lives. No need to have a ton of dishes and such if you hardly ever use them.

  3. well, without seeing your list,i can't help.Sorry.

But yeah, a smoke or heat detector is probably a good start.Safety first and all that.

Edit, hey Rad..i use my garlic crusher all the time

  4. kinda confusing discription lol sorry but heres wat u need in a house:

oven/stove, (FIRE ALARM!), refriderator, beds, couch tv, dining table, cabinets... idk i cant think right now.

  5. fire alarm you would need one unless you have one

    and a security alarm aswell

  6. 1/2 the things that you have on the list you probably won't ever use!

Don't buy things just for the sake of it!

Buy things as you NEED them (but buy quality - so that they last)

Go minimal (for example....who ever NEEDS a garlic crusher?)

    Spread you wings......

    Radstar!

EDIT - OK Ella - fair play!

    I use a broad-bladed knife for garlic...

I'll re-phrase my question - who ever NEEDS a garlic crusher...other than Ella (UK)? LOL!

  7. Toilet roll!!!!!

  8. dont forget the little stuff.... kitchen utensils, trash bags, cleaners, etc. good luck  - happy wedding  -  God  bless

  9. ...and this relates to homeschooling how???????

  10. First you might want to revise your question, it's in the wrong category. I don't think this is a question for "homeschooling"

first things first, A box set, a bed, sheets and pillows. A nightstand, bookshelf table chairs, in the kitchen, microwave, dishes/silverware, food. Those are really the necessities. Everything else is really decor.

  11. a blanket, lightbulbs or candels, heater, cups plates, pans cutlery, fridge freezer toiletries, cleaning products-its better to clean the whole flat before sleeping there, alarm clock, internet, television, stereo, then anything else

  12. Hard to say, not knowing what you have already written down. when I got my flat I didn't have a bean so had to make all my own furniture. You can pick up stuff from secondhand shops, and auctions, although neither is as cheap as it once was.

You need: a bed, with bedding, a sofa, a wardrobe and a table if you need to work from home at all. Otherwise balance your plates on your knees. Curtains or blinds and carpets if you haven't got them already. Crockery and pans to be able to feed yourself and a fridge (and a microwave) if they are not there. Everything else including a cooker can come later. My highest priority was a washing machine so I could say goodbye to launderettes forever. Let everyone know you are moving in - people are often glad to pass on stuff they otherwise don't want but can't bear to throw away. Be creative - I got masses of use out of filing cabinets and plan chests, office furnishers can be ludicrously cheap.

I would also recommend putting in a security alarm whilst the place is relatively empty so that you are protected when you do start to get stuff.

  13. A crock pot for slow cooking things in the winter time or all year round,

cookie sheets, cork s***w, dinner plates, wine glasses, cutting board,

colander(for pasta), cereal bowls, water glasses, dish towels, good set of cooking knives, spatula, cooking pans, measuring cups and spoons.

I know I concentrated on the kitchen but that is where I would start.

I may have forgotten a few things used in kitchen.

    Welcome mat for use outside.

    Bath towels and bath mats.

Cordless phones, TV, VCR,CD or DVD player.

Laundry baskets, plastic storage bins, and maybe a few cook books.

Good luck and have fun furnishing your new flat.

You might look for wall hangings like pictures, posters or drawings.

Make sure that the home shows both of your tastes.

One more thing I almost forgot book cases if you both have books.
