  1. Old San Juan, El Morro, Castillo de San Cristobal, San Juan Cathedral, Capilla del Cristo, Casa Blanca, Bacardi Factory, Camuy Caves (third largest cave system in the world), Arecibo Observatory (largest telescope in the world), Bioluminescent Bay, El Yunque, Indian Ceremonial Park.... more.

I went to most of these as time permitted... I also went to lesser known places like the Caparra Ruins, first home of Juan Ponce de Leon in Puerto Rico.

I suggest buying a travel book or getting one from the library and making notes of those places you find most intriguing or interesting and creating your own itinerary. That's what I did when I went 2 years ago. Mind you I had already lived on the island before but this time I went with "tourist" eyes and did things I had never done all the years I lived there. I found so many cool things on my trip, and I took over 400 pictures!

Have fun! I'll actually be there myself until July 30th.

  2. Pinky's restaurant

  3. The west side of the island is great.  Fantastic beaches, local foods, lots of fun.  Aguadilla has crashboat beach which is awesome.  There they also have a golf course that is overlooks las ruinas beach (the ruins) which has the ruins of a lighthouse that is a couple hundred years old.  When coming to Isabela there is a face of an indian carved in to a mountain.  its a big face.  There are some light houses across the island that have spaniard architecture that is wonderful with great views.  In downtown aguadilla there is a place that serves corn ice cream- try it you'll love it.  west side i believe is best for getting back to nature.  its not so commercial.  But don't miss the old san juan or the yunque rain forrest.
