I want to start playing with my guinea pig in the yard, and she likes to eat, like, everything. Can I have a list of things that might be harmful for her in my yard, along with links for pictures of what they are? Thanks

  1. i dont have any links but i do know that its really good for guinea pigs if you feed them like mini salads with like lettuce, tomoatoes, oranges, celery, carrots stuff like that

but only a tiny bit every day

  2. I feed mine almost all fruits and veggies. Here is a list of what they like:

    Peaches,

    apples

    carrots

    grass,

    lambsquarters,

    dandiloin,

    willow leaves,

    cucmbers,

    lettuce

    Do not feed them:

    iceberg lettuce

    or brocolli.

    Here is a link

and a picture of lampsquarters http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl=...

  3. There are only 3 things you should be feeding your guinea pig:

    -A good, stable pellet. I recommend Oxbow (www.oxbowhay.com) or KM's (www.kmshayloft.com).

-Unlimited Timothy Hay. Again, Oxbow or KMs.

-A variety of fresh vegetables daily. (romaine lettuces, bell pepper, a baby carrot, cilantro, a cherry or grape tomato..)

  4. It should be fine as long as you just play with her in the grass.  Try not to let her eat any plants, and youll be fine.

  5. Not many items in gardens are harmful, just DO NOT let your guinea pig outside if you have sprayed weed killer. Do you have a place that is just grass? Guineas can run around and eat the grass. Also, my guinea pig is a big fan of dandelions. They are tasty and safe for your little buddy to eat. Hooray!!!
