The other day I read about the Bimbo website in the daily Mail, I chose not to mention it to my 10 and 11 year old daughters as I was disgusted that the site encourages young girls to get their bimbos to seek plastic surgery and to buy diet pills to stay thin so as they can attract rich men for boyfriends. The very nex day on three childrens tv channels they reported items about the website. I only found out cause i noticed my girls were on the site and they told me about it being featured on newsround etc. I was fuming - is anyone else utterly disgusted that our daughters are being turned into mini jordans, paris hiltons and all of the rest of the plastic babes that are shoved in their faces. Thankfully my girls see it for what it is but for how long?

  1. It is important to monitor what your kids watch. If they do see something they shouldn't, you should discuss it with them. Your opinions make all the difference to them.

  2. YOU are the parent YOU need to monitor their time on the computer if they're online, that's YOUR job.  If you don't want them on certain sites you tell them and you stand there or sit with them watching what they do online.  You password the internet connection incase they try to get online when you're not around and you change that password on a daily basis...or you don't allow them online at all.  If you don't want your children seeing commercials for these dolls TURN THE TELEVISON OFF.  My kids get one hour every evening for television, video games or computer time an evening.  That isn't an hour ech, that is one hour period.  I am the parent, I have the choice as to what comes into my home and what doesn't.  My almost 11 year old has been on bimbo.com herself.  We laugh about it.  She knows it has no basis in reality and she tends to get bored with it easily.  She is more interested in the Smithsonian's or Nasa's website.

  3. yeah that's why I don't let my kid watch TV.

  4. I had no ideal about this website until my oldest pointed it out to me one day to show me.  She thought it was funny but she is 16 and thinks everything is.  I do not worry about my 10 year old getting on it because our pc is in the living room and I can see what she is on at all times.  I think the ones who create these sites either one dont have kids or two are using their kids to make money for themselves and they are sick in the head.

  5. Welcome to the future.

  6. yeah that has made it on the tv in Australia. But it is simple. I won't allow my child on it

  7. That's why you shut the T.V. off and unplug the computer.

  8. the Bimbo website is really the talk of the internet lately.

    sad but true.

the c**p they think of.. and ADULTS devise this stuff, which makes it even more horrifying.
