Things that dogs can't eat...?

HI! I always have difficulty in thinking of new articles for my new dog website and I had an idea of making a page about all of the different things dogs can't eat...

I've owned, bred, showed and loved dogs for many many years, and even I was surprised at the amount of things dogs can be intolerant of...

I'm asking here because I'm assuming everyone answerng in the dogs section has a dog, and would be the sort of visitors I expect to get for my website. So, do you think it is a good idea, or am i just waisting my time?

  1. I've heard chocolate is poisonous to dogs although you can buy special dog chocolate!

  2. I dont give my dog, dog food. He lives on raw meat. Take a look at this link and see what you think. http://www.rawlearning.com/

  3. It is a good idea, and if you keep updating the site it could go really far (unless you're like me who just forgets). You could have articles on training, feeding (types of food etc.), diseases and health, types of breed, breeding, endless possibilities.

  4. All dogs should not eat Chocolate, raisins and grape. These are poisonous for dogs.

Some dogs are allergic to various kinds of food like pickled food, spices and even regular chicken. Every dog is different and always should be observed closely for several hours when first fed with new item.

  5. Our chocolate

    good idea

It looks like a good site, well done

  6. You should write your question properly...

You page is nice, but to develope it will be a long lasting work. I have a web about dogs too...what I miss on your website is:

Section about food (dry food, cooked for, complemenraty diet, treats)

Veterinary care (Vaccination schemes, when to deworm, most freqeunt parasites and how to fight them, infectious diseases like parvo, distemper, rabies,)

Puppy equipment (dens, collars, bowls, toys,...)

Upbringing and training (puppy trainig, commands)

    Traveling with dogs

Coat, teeth, claw, ear care (grooming, washing, bathing, cutting)

that's what I bethink of right now.

Btw the breed section is really good, I would add there some infos if that dog is good for kids, or if he goes along with other dogs, if it's a dog which prefers backyard living or interior.

I wish you good luck with your page, it's a good idea!

  7. As well as the above, apparently onions, garlic and mushrooms are also toxic for dogs. That's a shame as my two Goldens love garlic bread!!

I would be interested in anything to do with dogs .. what about a page on breeds - how the particular breed came about, etc.

  8. dogs cant have grapes or chocolate...its poisonous

you could do a page on behavior and tricks to teach dogs that would help me loads i have a chocolate labrador and hes very naughty but i love teaching him new tricks =)

  9. It sounds good to me, their are plenty of people who really don't have a clue
