okay so i want act and i want to audition for the hannah montana fall auditions .

this is my first audition ever and to me acting comes natural i know how to make my resume but can you tell me what can i do to improve an add to my resume .

ps; i live in nyc so any place in the city with acting coachs or anything so tell me please . im a beginner

  1. Things that will look good on an acting resume are training and experience. You're in NYC, which is a great because there are so many opportunities. The down side is there actually aren't that many opportunities for beginners, so you're going to have to work hard.

    First off, check out the Drama Book Shop on 40th, between 7th and 8th. It will become your best friend. There are many, many "guides" for actors, so check out some of those. You can also pick up Backstage, which has a classifieds section with auditions, classes, coachs, photographers, etc.

    For classes, check out HB Studios. They're pretty reasonable, price wise and have a good reputation and a variety of different types of classes.

    If you're looking to build up a resume by the fall, it won't happen. Resumes take time. The best thing you can do is get into 2-3 classes, if you're able. I would recommend - scene study, on camera and improv.

  2. look on the job guide site and it will tell you wht you need for the job (personal trates, skills...) and thn just flip them around and say thats what you are like and what you've done.
