  1. Hi,

it really depends what you want.

Restaurants can be quite pricey, cheapest tend to be Italian restaurants. But you can also go to the butcher and buy i.e. a "Leberkässemmel", which is some kind of meat on bread. I love it and is a good and cheap lunch to go.

As for shopping again, it depends what you want. Great place with smaller shops, also something unsual, is Augustenstraße, here you have shoes, Dirndl, antigues, used and new clothing, souvenirs, used jewelry etc.

Shops near Marienplatz tend to be more pricey and are mostly chains that you can find in any city in the world.

  2. One of the cheapest place to eat is the Viktualienmarkt (except on sunday), beside Marienplatz.

The museums are great : the Pinakothek if you like art ; or the Deutsches-Museum for science and technics.

You can walk (or run, or rest...) in the biggest park in Europe : der englischer Garten.

  3. There are lots of things to do in Munich! Just walk around through this very beautiful city and you will see lots of fun. Walk across the Marienplatz to hear the Glockenspiel, walk around the backalleys, maybe stop at Dallmayrs, a famous coffee and food place, go to have lunch at a very munich type of place. The cheapest store for me is MULLER.
