  1. Well, they say when in Rome do as the Romans. So I guess when in Ireland get drunk, and stay drunk.

  2. Drink GUINNESS !!!!  with some leprechauns.......

    then drink some more.....

  3. Do as the locals do, get pissed all day and night.

  4. try these guys...www.rebeladventures.com

  5. My Irish buddies from Galway tell me they call girls squaws in Cork.. Aparantly its pretty much a hub of IRA activity.

Galway on the west coast by contrast is considered by many to bery beautiful the Oysters are considered an international delicacy. There are also many bars and the people have a reputation for being very friendly. Outside of dublin there is not a great amount of nightclubs etc in Ireland. Personally I would look at visiting Galway and Dublin on your visit both offer a two contrasting but very interesting views of Irish culture.

By the way Irish youths enjoy urinating on the Blarney stone at night. So think twice before you bend over backwards to kiss it.

  6. well if your into sightseeing go to kinsale its a beautiful town they have some great pubs there. the night clubs in town there is one called gorbys its a good night club its all 70/80s music if your into that. there is a lot a late bars which stay open until 2am with music. talent good.

  7. Shop, it's a feckin' shopping mecca

  8. Hey! I'm studying in UCC so I know a little about cork. I'm assuming you're not from ireland?

Ok, 2 girls in mid 20s for 5 days... hmm....Shopping in Patricks Street. Phota wild life park. Go and see the Glucksman art Gallery on Campus it's apparently in the top 1000 things to see before you die. Go to the beach for a day - its only about 40min from the City. Google for more info - I'm usually in college all day or watching day time tv so kinda limited there.

At night however, An Spailpin Fanach on south main Street is a great pub for Traditional irish music - and having a good pint of Beamish, which is a stout and its better than Guiness. Fact. Go to the Franciscan Well at the Bottom of Sundays Well Road - they brew their own drinks there and have lots of imported drinks.

Other pubs around cork then - Costigans, The Washington inn - its called the wash, The Mardyke, the New port bar, usually a young crowd in those pubs.

Clubs then - Havanas, Cubins, Gorbys, Fast Eddies. From best to worst - but you won't want to go to the rest - btw june is not the greatest time to come to ireland for a good night life - it would be much better when there are a lot of students around. There's like 30,000 students who all go home for the summer.  oh and clubs close here at 2am.

    Enjoy Cork anyways
