  1. Drink - all though you should know the bars close early and the only drunk people in Ireland, are the foreigners. If you really want to party later, you are going to have to go to a club [which they have some pretty decent techno clubs].

    Guinness factory

    Trinity College Tour

    Double Decker bus tour

They have islands that are surrounded by the most beautiful water and, some places, that offer great whale watching.

Land in Shannon airport and notice, upon descent, how the land looks like a checkers board made of 1000s of different color green patches.

Visit other nearby counties and have a country tour – Ireland is a lot of beautiful land and look for the painted sheep!

    Castles tour – pretty cool

    Visit the famous cemeteries

Buy wool clothing – beautiful and the best prices for the most luxuriant (if you buy in local shopping areas and avoid the tourists traps).

Waterford crystal tour – though I cannot remember how close they are to Dublin.

Rent a bike or motorpad – cheaper and easy way to get around – and you don’t have to worry about parking.

Ask the hotel/front desk where you can get a nice, cheap breakfast and you will save a lot money and be able to enjoy local cuisines/ local hang outs. Also, most hotels have pamphlets that offer up the best of the city and tell you about nice promotions.

Remember to show your Eurotrain or Europass – at museums and such because many will let you in at a discount.

DON’T ask for green beer, where the drunk people are, stupid potatoes questions, about leprechauns, etc., because you really don’t want to p**s off a room full of Irish people. They are lovely people who enjoy a good time but will not take kindly to disrespect, esp., through stereotypes – and though this may be hypocritical, they are more than willing to beat the c**p out of an a-hole.

Actually - just as in America -the no disrespect is a good practice Europe. They will defend their coutry as quickly as we will defend ours :-)

    Have a good time!!!

  2. If you're in anyway into art check out the Hue Lane Museum on Parnell Square.

    http://www.hughlane.ie/about/hugh.shtml

They brought Francis Bacon's Art studio over from Ireland brick by brick and rebuilt it in the gallery exactly how he left it.  Amazing stuff

    and its free!!

If that doesn't take your fancy I'll re-direct you to this site.

  3. Bus tour, guinness factory was great

  4. Tour bus is good (16 euro i think) but worth to see Dublin. Or Trinity college-book of celts.Museum are free..Experience Traditional Irish Dance or Music any bar in Temple bar-its free but you have to buy a drink (a bit expensive)but very good craic. Bring your raincoat in case  will rain.Enjoy.

  5. visit the zoo

  6. The Museum on Kildare Street (I think!) is really good, and free. I really like sitting in St Stephen's Green and people-watching, too. But you won't find much free stuff in Dublin, it's a very expensive city.

Ooh and take the DART down to Dun Laoghaire and have a walk around, it's a nice area. Howth is nice as well.

  7. tight budget is never good in Ireland, go on a open top tour bus, visit phoenix park, take the dart and visit Greystones and Bray but only on a sunny day, take a Luas train to Dundrum shopping centre, window shopping is free, buying is not.

    have fun!
