Things to do in Puerto Vallarta

Question

Im going to Puerto Vallarta in a few weeks and was thinking of doing some activities offered, such as ATV tour, canopy tour, etc. First, what activities are recommended and shouldn't miss out on. Second, would it be cheaper to purchase the tickets for the activities here or in Puerto Vallarta.

Ive been to puerto vallarta, and there are lots of fun things to do there. Im not sure where you are staying, but our hotel, la jolla de mismaloya, was right on the beach of a body of water. We paid a local boater to take us on a sightseeing trip. This included a stop at a secluded beach on the water, where there was an excellent restaurant and parasailing. Check it out.

First good choice on your vacation destination.

The best canopy is los veranos wich leaves from puerto vallarta or nuevo vallartaand this tour is popular, so i recommend you to book before going. As for booking before as opposed to after, the best tours book well in advance as well as generally cost 15-30% more at the tour location.

For Atv´s go with jungle treks, also you need to do the booze cruise, a trip to the beach in yelapa, and horseback riding.

Its cheaper to purchase the tickets there, because when you get there you can pay "pesos" vice dollars.  Go sight seen, what ever your heart desires.  There are also other beaches near by you should explore.  Punto de Mita is one.  Its a few minutes north of Puerto Vallarta.  There is also Guayabitos, Playa de las Tortugas.
