Hi gang, it's me again{ car hire-no credit card-Spain }.

Anyone got any tips on places to go or things to do in Sitges/Barcelona next weekend. Staying at the Subur hotel in Sitges. Our Friday to Sunday daytimes are taken up with the Grand Prix, but have from next Wednesday to the following Wednesday to fill in. Since the missus is having to suffer my motor car fetish, I would appreciate any suggestions that are female friendly? Have a hire car thanks to Avis { no credit card required } so travelling outside of Sitges or Barcelona is not a problem! Thanks in advance for any answers!

P.S. cheers Gran Canaria for your answer and your best wishes. Back at you, mate. Next time I am on your manor I shall have a drink for you. ADIOS!

  1. travel from barcelona to solu it will take around 1 hours drive and there is the famous theme park there call port aventura fun for all ages, or there is a very good zoo in barcelona  cant remeber the name but it will be wel advertised in barcelona or you could just go around old town and visit the sites

  2. Take the train into Barcelona from Sitges, the city is too clogged to drive round, on arrival buy a One-Day unlimited Metro pass and you'll be able to see all the sights of Barcelona - Sagrada Familia (it's NOT a cathedral by the way, the 14 century cathedral is in Barrio Gótico), Tibidabo, Montjuich, The Ramblas and Plaza de Cataluña etc.  If the train goes on past Sans get off at Paseo de Gracia, that's right in the heart of city.

Stay clear of Sitges if you're at all homphobic, by the way!

The GP circuit is in Mont Meló and I believe Gerona airport is nearer than Barcelona.

  3. You can't go to Barcelona without seeing the Sagrada Familia, Goudi's wonderful cathedral.

  4. There is lots to see in Barcelona for the misses lots of shops but sitges is know as the g*y resort so i wouldn't recommend it.

  5. Sitges is the g*y capital of Catalunia, so your missus will be safe, but I would advise you take care if you drop the soap in the shower.......
