I have done all the usual, gone to Manley by ferry, seen the harbour, Opera House, CBD, bla, bla boring. I'm looking for something different, non strenuous, relaxing but unusual Saturday or Sunday afternoon outing that include good food.

  1. Come to my place place, mate

and we'll put shrimp on the barbeque

Hope you don't mind the kangaroos, they tend to jump all over you.

  2. Norton St, Leichardt, the best Italian food, a whole street of it. It's also a great place to stroll around and look at some interesting shops.  As for strolling around and eating and strolling around a bit more, try the main street of Balmain, Oxford St Paddington,

  3. Why not drive or catch the train to Cronulla. Go for a walk on the esplanade which borders several beaches. You can do some shopping in the mall and have lunch at Sealevel or SummerSalt or the Nuns Pool.

  4. What about the Scenic World amusement park? It is a park on the edge of a cliff (no its not dangerous) and it has a ride with a glass floor where you go over the valley. There is also the cable car down to the bottom or the worlds steepest train (the scenic railroad).

Good food is here too, with either:

    a) An aussie BBQ with fresh kangaroo sausages in a sandwich (mmm...yummy)

    b) a revolving resturant with views

    c) an outdoor cafe with views

    d) a small cafe with free arcade games :)

The place has buses from Katoomba train station and free parking.

  5. Catch a train to Cabramatta cheap food feel like you are overseas
