Things to do in York, UK?

I am off to york in August. I am going with my husband and two children who are 6yrs and 4yrs. Can someone tell me what there is to do in an evening please? Also what other attractions are there?

My husband and I went to York last year for a weekend break and we had a fab time - you will love it.

Take the kids to the Viking Museum its a fantastic experience for adults and kids and if you are looking for a bit of culture visit the Minster as its a fabulous place to see.

At night my husband and I went on the River Cruise which was great and there were kids there as well.  If you contact the Tourist Info centre they will tell you how to book the boat trip it was really interesting and you could have a few drinks while listening to the tour guide telling you all the facts about York and the river.
