money will be kinda low but what can i do in leeds? and date ideas?

  2. In the old days we would window-shop, now however just stroll around the pedestrian streets and arcades in Leeds city centre, there are plenty of girls around.  As for dates, use the parks, Roundhay Park is huge and easily reached by bus.

  6. we have a few parks in leeds which are free and a lovely walk or do what me and my hubby did when money was low we bought some onion bhajis and popadoms and went to rounhay park and ate them it was a lovely evening but obviously the weather was right ,,,or along the leeds liverpool canal from rodley into leeds its an 8 mile walk but great on a summer afternoon good luck any way im sure you will find something to do

  8. Not everything is in Leeds but it's all within either a bus or train ride of Leeds.

    1.                   Skipton – In the Aire gap separating the Craven limestone Dales to the north, the gritstone moors to the south, and the pastoral Ribble valley to the west, Skipton is an attractive market town serving a large rural area.  Bus info. X84 from the bus station.

    2.                   Bolton Abby – Bolton Abbey is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales on the banks of the River Wharfe. With just under 30,000 acres of beautiful countryside, over 80 miles of footpaths and ample space to run around and enjoy the fresh air, there is something for all ages.  Bus info. X84 from the bus station.

    3.                   The Armories – Can walk here from down town Leeds.

    4.                   Five Rise Locks – Bingley Five-rise lock staircase is the most spectacular feature of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. It is situated about half a mile north of Bingley Station, about 17 miles north west of Leeds and about 12 miles south east of Skipton.  Trains leave every thirty minutes from Leeds.

    5.                   Temple Newsam – This charming estate sits on 1200 acres of scenic parkland and houses one the country's finest collections of decorative arts. The exhibit of Chippendale furniture is both impressive and extensive. This is also the site of one Europe's largest home farms, boasting 400 animals, including numerous rare specimens.  Bus info. 63A from either the bus station or City Square.

    6.                   Otley – Otley is a Yorkshire market town of about 15,000 people, set on the banks of the River Wharfe. It is an ancient, friendly and picturesque town with a rich commercial and community life. Bus info. 731 from the bus station.

    7.                   York – The north’s spiritual capital for over 2,000, York is central to Britain’s colourful history.  Visit the stunning York Minster, enjoy Stonegate and Shambles shopping and live the York history at the JORVIK Viking centre, National Railway Museum and York Castle Museum.  Eat at the Kings Arms Pub right on the river Ouse, one of the most flooded buildings in England.  Trains run all the time.
