Things to do in manhattan?

i live in ct so while i have gone into manhattan enough to recognize a number of parts in the route there, im not rly sure about what there is to do ther that u rly wanna do or else ull regret it type of thing. plus r ther n e free concerts this weekend? my friend from manhattans picking me up on friday and i come bk monday afternoon. thanks :]
