We're going up there for a week next week and having never been there before can anyone recomend any places there to visit? We're staying with family but have our own car so we don't mind travelling to see places. We love good food and good drink so any recomendations are welcome!

  1. There is the Cathedral, Spynie Palace, Cooper's Park, theres quite a lot of historical things if you are that way inclined.

If its nice you can always head up to Hopeman and try some of Miele's Ice-cream, its really really nice.

  2. Hiya! My folks have a static caravan up in Elgin so I'm there several times a year. There are loads of distilleries if you like that sort of thing.  The one I would recommend is Glenfiddich which is in Dufftown.  Great tour!  Findhorn, Lossiemouth, Nairn are all nice places to visit. You should also try and visit RoseIsle. My folks were at The Crooked Inn at Alves the other week and they said the food was really good.  For something cheap and cheerful you should try The Lido in Elgin.  There are several bars in Elgin but not sure which are the best.  Hope you have a fab time!
