  1. I will give info on Minnesota and hopefully others will give you info on other states.

In Minnesota, there's the Mall of America in Minneapolis.  There are also thousands of lakes all over the state and many rivers including the source of the Mississippi River.  You could also visit Duluth which is the most inland seaport int the world on the Western end of Lake Superior....a beautiful city and then go on to the North Shore of Lake Superior which is amazingly beautiful.

  2. Go swimming in michigan or rent a boat and go water skiing.

  3. in Alberta, Go to Drumheller, To the badlands and see the dinosaur exhibits.

  4. In Jasper or banff, you have to try white water rafting! it's very fun! You can also go hiking, go on scenic tours, and drumbheller is awesome. In Calgary there is LOTS of shopping, and I think thats about it. Have fun.

  5. - Michigan -

In Detroit there is a lot to do downtown. I'm sure you've heard that Detroit is a dangerous place and you might be hesitant to visit, but downtown Detroit is very safe. If you're over 21 and want to gamble, there are four casinos in the area. MGM Grand Detroit, Motor City, Greektown Casino and Caesars Windsor in Windsor, Ontario. Greektown is a Greek ethnic area of Detroit where there are lot's of Greek restaurants, stores and some good bakeries. You can also visit the Renaissance Center, which is the tallest building in Detroit and the headquarters of GM. There’s a mall on the street level of the Renaissance Center and an observation deck at the top that has great views of Detroit and Windsor. For the best views of the Detroit skyline, go to the riverfront park in Windsor on the Canadian side.

    - Illinois -

If you’re traveling through Illinois, you might as well visit Chicago. You should spend a few days there to take it all in, there’s lot’s to do. Michigan Avenue, also known as “Magnificent Mile” has lot’s of high end designer stores and is the street that the John Hancock Tower (one of the tallest buildings in Chicago) is located on. The Sears Tower is the tallest building in the US and second tallest in the world. The Sears Tower Skydeck provides great views of Chicago and Lake Michigan. There’s also dozens of museums in Chicago, most are located along the waterfront. Six Flags Great America is a major theme park 1 hour north of Chicago. It’s an amazing city, definitely worth a visit.

    - Wisconsin -

Milwaukee is the largest city in Wisconsin and it’s only 2 hours north of Chicago. It’s basically a smaller version of Chicago. The rest of Wisconsin is mostly farmland.

    -  Minnesota -

The largest city in Minnesota is Minneapolis. If you like shopping, you should visit Mall of America, which is the largest mall in the US with over 400 stores. It’s located in Bloomington which is near Minneapolis.

    - North Dakota -

North Dakota is a rural, sparsely populated state. There really isn’t much to do there, so it’s going to be a long boring drive from there to Calgary.

    - Alberta -

In Calgary, visit the Canada Olympic Park where you can take a tour of the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. Calaway Park is located west of Calgary and is the largest amusement park in western Canada. There are lot’s of great restaurants and shops in downtown Calgary. If you want to visit another "biggest mall", the Edmonton Mall in Edmonton (a few hours north of Calgary) is the largest mall in Canada and one of the largest in the world. Jasper National Park and Banff are scenic places with beautiful mountains, so bring your camera! There are lot’s of scenic areas to view the mountains and many trails for hiking.
