  1. i dont know a lot about africa sorry - but do consider doing a safari there.

south america, make sure u spend some time seeing Machu Picchu in peru. its about a 4/5 day trek. really worthwhile. also in rio in brazil i'd really like to see christ the reedeemer. there's also some good sites in chile and bolivia too. and if you have time and money you could always do a short trip to the galapogos islands.

new zealand, do something like a kiwi tour, or at least look into it, as it has most of the main sites on it. NZ is very good for sports, so if u fancy something like a bungee jump, that is your place. you should go see the lord of the rings set there too, if this is your thing!

australia has loads to do, i'm sure you know the main things: sydney, brisbane, uluru (ayers rock), byrom bay, whitsunday islands. to see the real australia spend some time on the west coast if u can. the east is very tourist-orientated. greyhound do some good tours in oz.

china, dont go there without visiting the great wall. and i think you should visit the olympic sites too if your timing is appropriate. there's lots of history here so spend time researching that, it depends what you want to see. beijing is a definite.

and india, this is probably one of the most culture-shock places you are going to, so dont go here first in my opinion. it also has lots to do. definitly visit some of the tea-plants. perhaps a visit to darjeeling. naturally you should do the taj mahal etc. mumbai is worth a visit too.

best thing to do is start your research with a website such as lonely planet.

  2. Get guidebooks for each country, either buy or get from the library, and look for things that interest you and work out an itinerary from there.

  3. Buy the guide books to these areas or check them out of the library.  They will have much more information than you'll get from a couple paragraphs that you'll get from someone here.
