  1. There are lots of things to do around Flinders Street!

If you go out of Flinders St Station from the main entrance, across the road you will see a pub named Young and Jacksons. If you follow the road next to it (Swanston Street), you will find some shops along the streets / lanes that run parallel to Flinders Street that also come off Swanston Street such as Flinders Lane, Little Collins Street, Collins Street, Bourke St mall and a little bit further on is Lonsdale Street.

All of these have lots of shops along them.

Bourke St mall is the best - it has Myer, DJs, some other shops and if you walk through Myers away from Flinders Street you will get to Melbourne Central where there are lots of shops.

If you walk back from Flinders Street in the opposite direction you will find the Arts Centre, Southbank and the National Gallery of Victoria which are all fun to look at. Also across the road from Flinders Street Station is Federation Square...sometimes they have concerts / activities going on in the square and there is the Ian Potter Gallery.

There is a little arcade between Flinders Street and Flinders Lane called Degraves Street, and across from that is Centre Place- there are some awesom cafes in there!

    Hope this you some ideas!

  2. Hop on the City Circle Tram!!!

    Route Map: http://www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au/maps_...

The City Circle Tram provides a free and convenient way to get around central Melbourne. Tourists, shoppers and families can use the City Circle Tram to travel to major attractions, shops and city activities.

It will take you past shopping malls, arcades and major attractions such as the Old Treasury Building, Parliament House, Docklands, Federation Square and the Princess Theatre.

Tourists can spend all day on a City Circle Tram! Information leaflets, including an 'easy to understand' map of the city are available on board each City Circle Tram. The City Circle Tram can be used as a 'hop on - hop off' service, this way tourists can enjoy each of Melbourne's sites and have the added bonus of traditional Melbourne transportation.

The City Circle Tram also links with other tram, train and light-rail routes in and around Melbourne.

Trams run in both directions every 12 minutes, seven days a week between 10am and 6pm (except Christmas Day and Good Friday), and during daylight-saving extended hours, 10am to 9pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday
