  1. Read a book, listen to your ipod, play the games on the tv if they are available, sleep, wind up the trolley Dolly's,watch the films.

  2. Books are always good, PSP with UMD movies are nice. In flight entertainment can be good, play cards with your neighbour... sleep (but going to Orlando it won't be dark - will on the way back though). You have loads of things you can do.

  3. sleep, watch the films (should be provided on a long haul flight - most airlines now have films and TV programmes on demand), read a book or magazine, take a puzzle book, play cards, meet your neighbours, get drunk...

  4. 1. Sleep

    2. Have s*x

    3. Play on your gameboy

    4. Do work

    5. Harass the flight attendants

  5. take laptop with you

  6. Just stay up 24 hours before you leave then sleep the whole flight

  7. join the mile high club

  8. Try and become a member of the mile high club, that should take up 10 minutes, have a safe journey

  9. pop a sleeping pill and doze off. when you wake up, youre in florida!

  10. If your anything like i am when i go to Orlando you will get bored really quickly i do. i usually take a book, mp3 player, quiz book, game boy, watch the films on the flight and play the games on the flight TV in about the first 3 hours then I'm still completely bored and sit there uncomfortable watching the clock and pray for the time to go faster so i can get off the horrible thing lol, i find the best thing to do is put your mp3 player on and just try to sleep it goes much quicker, or you can do what my sister does shes afraid of flying so she gets dyazipam of her doctor and they make her sleep all the way there.

  11. Bring a good book to read. There will probably be inflight movies, so that will eat up a lot of time. Plus, I always manage to take a nap. Sometimes its good to read up on your destination with a new tour book. Play cards. I think they are still legal to carry on! Oh and check the flight progress on those fun inflight displays of where you are and how fast/high you are flying. Have a good trip and say hello to the mouse for me! :)

  12. Join the frequent flier program for the airline, unless you already belong to a "partner" program.  Joining is free and you can do it online.

Check www.seatguru.com for seat suggestions.  I usually try to get a window seat on really long flights and gather some extra pillows & blankets to make a "bed" to lean against.  Call the airline and request a seat as early as allowed.  Also ask if the aircraft has power ports that you can use for i-Pod, etc.

Consider getting a sleep mask (ex. www.mindfold.com) and some earplugs, which may help you sleep (they work for me). Luggage stores and airport shops also sell sleep masks.

I-Pods and portable game devices are great on planes, but the batteries won't last more than a few hours.  Pack one or more books that you have started, or that are from an author you know.  It's really annoying to realize - too late - the book you brought for the flight isn't a good read. Other options are crossword puzzles and similar.  A laptop is practical IF the aircraft is equipped with power ports (which can also re-charge an i-Pod or game device).

Pack a complete change of clothes and basic toiletries in your carryon bag.  Check the security requirements at: www.tsa.gov

Dress in comfortable clothes and shoes that are not too tight (or overly casual).  Your feet will swell during a long flight and tight clothes can make it harder to sleep.

I try to shower just before leaving to go to the airport.  It reduces the grungy feeling you get by the end of a long flight. Use conditioner to reduce hair frizziness.

Tag all of your bags (inside and outside) with your name, e-mail address (but not your home address) and a complete phone number someone will answer.  The free tags from the check-in counter are fine.

Make sure you have your passport and other documents on you before leaving home.

Get to the airport 2 full hours before departure so you don't have to stress.

You can take something to help you sleep, but try it first.  Many meds can leave you groggy long after you need to be awake.  I just use aspirin.

Chewing gum can help with relieving the pressure in your ears.

Drink lots of water and juice:  The air in the cabin is very dry and causes dehydration.  Avoid too many drinks with caffeine (including colas) or alcohol as they can increase the dehydration.

Get up and stretch every few hours.

Try to awaken about an hour before arrival and use the restroom to wash up.  You will feel a lot better.  There will also be a long line for the restrooms about 30 minutes before arrival.

The time change can be a problem, and a long flight will produce a lot of "jet-lag". At your destination, try very hard to eat meals at local times and stay awake until local bedtime.  If you MUST take a nap then sleep for no more than 3 hours.  Falling asleep at 5:00pm may result in you waking up at Midnight - wide awake and unable to go back to sleep.

Hope you have a great trip!

  13. i sugesst you bring ...

    ipod

    a book

    magasines

    portable dvd player

    laptop

games console ( nintendo ds , psp ) etc

ear plug incase u want to sleep

a pillow as the chairs ar not that cumffy especially if ur in the middle.

food no meat or liquids remember

    wear cumpfy clothes

thats all i can think of now

    have fun on ur trip

    x*x

  14. Definitely bring a book.

Depending on which airline you are flying with there may be some half-decent movies to watch.  If you have an mp3, you could bring that as well to drown out the screaming child in the row behind you (there's always one on every flight lol).

A handheld gaming console can take boredom off your mind too, a PSP or Nintendo DS is perfect.  Take an inflatable cushion to rest your head as well because sleeping not only helps pass the time but can beat jetlag and leave you more refreshed after the flight.

When you're on the flight drink plenty of water and try to walk about a bit - this will also help with the jet lag and combats deep vein thrombosis.

    Enjoy Florida!!!
