  1. Use buzzwords like synergy and teamaholic.  Then pretend you know what you are talking about even if you do not.  Comment on how the bagels turn to hockeypucks past 1pm.

  2. In addition to early arrival and doing your best, don't be afraid to ask questions. You will make mistakes, but don't worry too much about that - it is the easiest way to learn, and everyone knows that it is your first day. If you just try your hardest, you won't have to worry about trying to impress anyone. Just be sincere and smile.

  3. Don't suck up. They will like you better if you are real. Brown nosers come off as fake.

  4. Don't try to impress anyone by saying anything dumb.  Just pay attention to who ever is training you, and do your job with a smile.  Don't ***** or complain about things you may have to do.

  5. Arrive early (10 min), give great customer service, keep a smile on your face, be positive, ask if you can help in any way, listen and take direction well..

  6. Ditto on what cwood said, arriving 10mins early always looks good and is the right thing to do. Listen more than talk as well.
