  1. Cadbury's World is a great favourite with kids (and adults!) if they like chocolate - free chocs being handed out as you go around, and then there is a kids' train ride, which Grannies and Gramps enjoy, too!!!

Any boat trips going at the moment around Gas Street Basin?  Kids love those.

Then the aquarium adjacent - is it called "Sea World"?

  2. http://www.ackers-adventure.co.uk/

looks like they have lots of exciting things to do

  3. take him to church, preists know what to do with 6yr old boys

  4. As well as the other suggestions there's

    Aston Hall

    Blakesley Hall

    Sarehole Mill

    Jewellery Quarter Museum

    Nature Centre

    Botanical Gardens

Midlands Art Centre (they do classes for children)

    Birmingham Museum

The libraries often do story reading and activities for children.

  5. Cadburyworld,

    Thinktank,

    Sealife Centre,

    Black Country Museaum

    Dudley Zoo,

    Natural History Museum

Or, take a bus to Birmingham Airport...maybe watching the flights coming and going would keep him occupied for a while, and he could also visit The Aviation Experience there.

  6. Have a look at Enjoy England's Day trip finder - all results are within 10 miles of Birmingham -

Hope you find something great to do.
