Things to do with a 8 year old?

I am babysitting a 8 year old girl on Friday and i don't know what to do. She is very shy.

Rent some movies, find out about her- what does she like to do? Does she like the Jo Bros?Miley Cyrus?

You could paint toenails?fingernails

Dance

Go outside(with parent permission)

Go get ice cream (with parent permission)

Take a walk (with parent permission)

bake stuff

Do a craft

etc.

Be creative and make it fun!!

Hannah Montana(disney channel); Barbie; Make-up; Hair stuff.....

The list goes on.  I have an 8 year old and they are getting very girly and concerned with their looks.  They are inbetween the years.

Hannah Montana is always good. A lot of kids like video games, but if there is a park nearby, why not pack a picnic lunch together and go to the park? Play board games, bake brownies together.

Rent some Hannah Montana movies and shows. Every 8 year old loves her.

Ask her what she likes , it's always good to start with a little " Hi " , Maybe watch Hannah Montana , Jonas Brothers , Camp Rock , High School Musical ( 1 or 2 ) , Suite Life , Cory In The House , etc . etc . Play Monopoly ( you could try the girl version ) or something like go fish . Play in a pool ( if you have one ) . I totally IDK .

Ask her what type of movies she likes, then go to your favorite video store and pick out the movies. Have her bring her sleeping bag, pop some popcorn, and have fun watching the movie. Also paint her finger and toe nails but make sure that you get her parent's permission first.
