Things to do with quinoa

Anyone know of a recipe I can make using quinoa, preferably something along the lines of a wrap?

I have some quinoa, black beans, corn, and a chipotle dressing. Would those go together?

Any ideas are welcome!

  1. Quinoa is a grain which originated in ancient South American Cultures.

I liken it to Cous Cous in that it is very boring on its own.

Saute a little fresh chilli, then add the Quinoa and boiling water (or you use Vegetable stock an cook in a moderate heat for 10  until the germ seperates. Remove from the heat cover with a lid and let it stand for 10 minutes to fluff up and absorb the rest of the liquid.  In the meantime dice up or segment an orange and also chop some cilentro and add both of these after the liquid has been absorb. season with a little salt pepper and a teaspoon of oil olive.

Make a wrap with the chipotle dressing and the beans (add a little cheese if you wish).

All the ingredients you list would work well together.

  2. I think that quinoa goes with anything just like rice. I think that rice would go great in that wrap so why not quinoa? Try a yummy flavored wrap too like at mexcian pepper type or something. Yum!

  3. I got a quinoa, corn and black bean salad recipe off http://www.allrecipes.com that was pretty good.  They had tons and tons of quinoa recipes.
