Things you are doing to save money?

Outof curiosity and wanting to find some new ideas I thought I would ask other people what they are doing to save money,gas and electricity.also how do you save while shopping? Here are some things I have done-I had my husband build a clothesline so that I don't have to run my dryer as much.I purchased a front loading washer that saves water,and spins the clothes faster which cuts dry time.I Started driving at 50-55 mph and do not drive offensively anymore.When weather permits I turn the Ac off and open the windows.Does anyone have anymore good ideas to share-I would love to hear them,maybe we can help each other save some money.Oh and one more thing I have almost switched all my light bulbs to the compact flourescents.GOD-bless

when boiling my potato's i use the water from them to make up my gravy instead of boiling the kettle.

I make weekly dinner menus around what is on sale so I know what I need to buy at the store, now I don't have to run out to the store in the middle of the week to buy a certain ingredient (because I'll buy other stuff too and end up spending more money then I need too).  I use coupons and match them up to sales to really get some great deals.  I am growing my own garden of veggies.  When I catch green peppers onsale I buy some chop them up and freeze them to use later in recipes.

well what i do is when i get paid, i spend 50% of it and i save 40% and the last 10% goes to charity. beleive me it really works. am doing the same thing and am saving alot of money, althou i spend alot of my money on worthless things and phone credit. but its the best saving tip that i had from years. i hope it works with you.
