Things you have to learn in 1st year of EngSci/phy or Bachelor of Applied science

i was wondering if some one could tell me that in the first year of Applied science program in the university, do you have to learn Special Theroy of relativity, Quantum Mechanics and planetary satellite dynamics for your physics classes?

  1. Get the textbook that is used and that will give you a pretty good idea.


  2. I read a theoretical physics degree in London, first year you don't really have all the knowledge to go straight into QM nad GR and so on. You will learn fundamental knowledge of maths, vector calculus, differenti lequations, maths analysis, matrices, etc, every physics course is an introductory course in first year. like quantum physics, not much quantum stuff is involved but you are introduced to the schrodinger equation. QM is studied intensively in 2nd year. General relativity is a course with a level of diffculty beyond university, it is studied by master level students in most cases. planetary satellite dynamics will be covered as a subtopic in a mechanics course. though in 3rd year you will do more in advanced classical physics.
