what are things you kids say that made you laugh? things that made you cry? things that made you think what the heck are they talking about?!

for me;

made me laugh: when we went shopping Ethan wanted a toy and Matt told him no, that he only brought enough money for stuff we need. Ethan said "is it because mommy holds the purse and dont let you see the money?

made me cry: "mommy, who does pawpaw hate daddy?"(my dad doesnt really like my husband and it made me sad that Ethan was picking up on that.

made me wonder what he was talking about: "if a wolf cut off my leg tonight, i would have to hop, but if a duck bit off my tow, i would just walk weird."

so, what are some famous quotes your kids say

  1. ok, I'm not a parent, but a sweet little girl told a friend of mine's baby (before she was born), " Baby Madeleine, I want you to know that your mommy has the best voice. Just wait until she sings to you while she holds you in her arms." It made me cry. When I was little we were driving a my dad said he wanted to beat the rush and I said, " I am the rush" no one gets it, even to this day.

  2. We bought our young babies home from hospital, and were met with gob smacked toddlers.

Apparently they were never babies & couldn't understand what those strange (babies) were. lol

One of my Toddlers is severely hearing impaired, and at one stage was legally deaf. He had an operation to repair his ears, and his twin brother told him, he could have one of his, he only needed one. Awwwww

Recently (like 2 weeks ago) I hit one of our cats driving into the farm. I got the biggest guilt trip from Mr 4yo. Why did you run over him??

Felt like a hero that day...NOT (Thankfully cat is FINE!!)

Our nearly 3yo were arguing over something only this morning, and my (foster) nephew (6yo) piped up

*We can cut in half but it won't work. So we should cut it in 3 pieces*

I guess he wanted a piece of the action.

  3. My three-year-old son, Nathan, always comes out with things that make me laugh. He often runs away from me when I ask for a kiss/cuddle because I'm 'prickly' so I have to make sure I shave often. A few weeks ago, we found a caterpillar in the garden and he was fascinated by it so we decided to keep it for him in a jar. I can't explain the disappointment on his face when he saw the caterpillar had been replaced by a butterfly, and he turned to me saying 'Daddy that butterfly is mean! It ate my caterpillar'. He was in a mood for days afterwards. Just the other day, he met his baby twins for the first time. His little face lit up and he seemed to really like them until he looked at them and said, 'Daddy still loves me the best'. (The twins are only 3 days old).

Things that make me cry? Nathan is good at doing this and manages to on many different occasions. Sometimes he just guilt trips me so much that I feel horrible and others he comes out with the most incredible things. The hardest thing for me was seeing Nathan in isolation (he suffers leukemia) and he said to me 'Daddy please don't let me die'. I hugged him and promised I'd look after him.

Nathan comes out with the strangest and sometimes scariest things. One time we were walking down the road and he just, out of nowhere, said 'Sshh Daddy the man is talking' - there was noone around. There have been a few occasions when he has talked about 'how his brain works'. It's hilarious but also confusing. He will talk for ages about how this goes there and this goes there and 'Voila'.

  4. Probably not funny to anyone but me, but it always makes me smile to think of it.

Last year on vacation we were playing in the ocean and I was holding my 3 year old nephew, Jacob. I noticed his teeth were chattering so I asked him if he was cold. His reply, "no?". So I then asked him if he was having fun, in his sweet little voice he says "I think so... ". Clearly he just wasnt sure.

A different night he comes out of his bedroom to announce "I NEED a faffle (waffle) in my mouth!". Of course, we all need waffles in our mouths when we should be sleeping.

  5. things that make you laugh:

I was doing my pilates dvd, and the "instructer" on the dvd said "great job, thats right, keep going!!" My son looked at the TV astounded, then at me, and said "Mum, can she see you?" Cracked me up!

  6. Well it made me laugh so much and it still does when Kaitlyn my 2 and a half year old daughter says "mummy can you please open the baby door again". And i say sorry because I've got 5 children already. This made me cry with happiness when i went to the hospital Kaitlyn said "Mummy make sure you don't bring home any more baby boys because Aiden is enough trouble".Also when I was having my second child well acculy twins she yelled "Mummy why are you going because daddy is the one having the horse".she thought my husband was having a horse and i was just really fat.

    hope i helped

  7. it makes me laugh when...

she she says things like ohhh barnicles or fish paste, tarter sauce etc.. she getis it from sponge bob

cry... when she uses her dad as a weapon (we have joint custody and she is learning how to manipulate.

    what are you talking about...

when she says i see flying dogs or fish make you ride them cause there like bird hahaha i dunno but its cute!

  8. im pregnant with my second baby and my daughter who is 15 months old was playing with my phone in a rough way so i said "no felicity. Ta! give mummy the phone" and she looked at me and kept playing with it again i said "no" (this was a while after we had told her there was going to be a new baby in the family) and she pointed to me and said "NO BABY!" i was laughing so much.

another one is that my daughter cant say "a drink of lemonade" and so when she wants a drink she simply says "dinky-ade"

another thing that didnt really make me laugh, but it made me proud was when my elderly neighbours wife died and he was sitting in his backyard on a swing crying, my daughter saw this and walked over to him and crawled up on his lap and put her arms around his neck and layed against his chest for a long time. he smiled after that.

    :)

  9. My husband asked our 3 year old for a kiss and she said "no Daddy my cheeks are busy."...lol.
