a friend just said to my i'm not gone receive the tax credit and the kids money. What can i do now.

FILE your return ASAP

Pay any penalties, if you owe taxes, but if you get refund, no problem, but do it ASAP

Use the TELEFILE system. If your tax situation is simple, you can file using a touch-tone phone. It's the quickest and cheapest way to file your return. It's recommended that you fill out the return normally before you start though.

Your friend is right, most of the governments free money to lazy people depends on the people doing there tax returns.  

If you do not file you will not get this free handout.  Once you do your return the government will calculate your benefits and start sending the chq's
