last time me and my bf had s*x was on like april 26 or 27th but we didnt use a condom. I bleed this month for 4days and the Dr. said i could be haveing a miscarage or implantation bleeding but i still feel pregnant. I had lost a lot of weight but in the last month I've gained like 15 to 20 i've been really tired, head ackes and feeling bloated, realy hot all the time and feeling light fluters in my stomach. I've took 4 test that came back negative. I thought that my iron being low could have alot to do with my hcg level. I'm goin to the dr next week but I just want to know what this is or sound like.

  1. Definitely keep your doctor's appointment.

"I thought that my iron being low could have alot to do with my hcg level."

From many years of performing these tests (and many others!) in the clinical laboratory, I can tell you that your iron level will not effect the results of your beta-HCG regardless of what it is.  There are some dietary supplements that can cause a false positive (or falsely elevated) beta-HCG, i.e., vitamin B12, but very little that can cause a false negative.

If you drink a LOT of water and overhydrate yourself, that could result in a false negative urine HCG test, but very little can effect the blood test.  Make sure your doc orders a blood test and not just a urine test.

    Good luck to you.

  2. So, all your home pregnancy tests have come up negative? I would go to your doctor and have a blood pregnancy test done to get your actual HCG level.  If it is low it could be due to either  it being early in pregnancy or you may be miscarrying or about to miscarry.  Or you may not even be pregnant and just have some bloating.

I hope you get everything worked out.

  3. If you're peeing a lot or if you are always thirsty....It sounds like it could be Gestational Diabetes which occurs in pregnant woman but goes away after their pregnancy.  You definitely need to speak w/ your doctor....
