  1. You have come right to the point.  It has failed miserably every time it's been tried.  Look at the political and monetary boondoggle they have in Canada.

  2. The government has NEVER run anything more effectively or more efficiently than the private sector..........and never will.  Competition is what makes everything better...........take competition away and the product ALWAYS SUCKS!

  3. Socialized medicine is a disaster in every country that tries it.  The fact is that all that is creates is a new layer of bureaucrats that benefit no one but themselves.  And that "benefit" is always passed on to the common man as a price increase, or a service quality decrease.

  4. I think it would be very effective if instituted and run properly.  It has worked very well in Canada, the U.K., France and many other countries.  Personally, I have little trouble with the DMV.  Where I live they have become quite efficient.  I tend to wait less there with an appointment than I do at the doctor's office.

  5. Since socialized medicine has been neither anywhere else it's been applied, I doubt it.

  6. It will be as fair as our Taxation system!

  7. Is socialized medicine efficient and fair in Britain, Canada or France?  No.  Those with money in the aforementioned countries pay extra to get the health care they need.  The ones who cannot afford to pay more wait.  They wait to see the doctor, the wait for operations, they just wait.   Say no to Hilary's universal health care plan.  Say no to anyone who wants to institute universal health care.

  8. h**l NO! Its gunna be a jumbling mess.

  9. Yeah it will be about as efficient and fair as my "stable" cell phone rate/s.

  10. I'm an American but currently live in Europe. They seem to have a great health care system over here -- in this country at least. They pay way more in taxes here than Americans do in the US but all their health needs are covered.

It's also cool because when you go to a doctor, they spare no expense. It's all on the gov't and is guaranteed to be paid. I went in for a sore arm and got an x-ray, ultrasound, medication, and great attention.

But this country does have it's stuff together, so...

  11. No, No, a thousand times NO! When the government is taking care of a plan the bureaucracy is beyond belief. It would be the biggest headache you ever had. We need to have health insurance reform, and not have the government involvement. Free enterprise works!

  12. You are asking the government to be both efficient and fair something that they've never been. I can't understand why some people think that the government is the answer to the health care crisis. Rarely is it so.
