Think ryan howards overrated?

I may be a phillies fan but i think howard is overrated. He only hits homeruns. Games arent won with only homeruns. He can never hit in clutch situations

I don't think so...he contributes to the team and that is all that matters...a guy with 29 homers and 87 RBIs is not overrated

Phillies phan here and he's overrated because of he's high amount of stikeouts, and his power. Well I don't know if you know it but he's been sizzling if you paid attention, cut down to the strikeouts and starts hitting the ball harder.

I don't think he is overrated, i think that people look at his numbers and all they look at is the HR's.  But he can do much more than that.

Ryan Howard is one of the premier run producers in the game.  He seems pretty clutch to me.  His career number in the clutch are pretty good.

.278 46hr 279rbi in 553 career atbats with runners in scoring position

.294 21hr 120rbi in 255 atbats with RISP w/2 outs

.353 1hr 14rbi in 17atbats with a man on third with less than 2 outs.  (that means he has only made three unproductive outs in his career with a runner on third and less than 2 outs)

He also has 40hr and 112rbi in his career in the 7th inning or later.

I am a Braves fan so I am not Ryan Howard bias, this is just the truth.

He may not hit for average, but he has 29 Hrs and 87 RBI both leading the National League.  he is also on pace for about 80-90 runs scored.  

2007 .268, 47 HRs, 136 RBI, 94 runs, 107 BB, .392 OB%

2006 .313, 58 Hrs, 149 RBI,104 runs, 108 BB, .425 OB %

2005 .288, 22 Hrs, 63 RBI, 52 runs, 33 BB, .356 OB % in 88 Games!

He is going to hit mid to high 40s HRs, have 120-130 RBI this year.

If he is overrated, then I want to know who you think is good.  Seriously, how will you make up for those runs if he is not there?  

While he does K a lot, he also produces.  Games are won with RBI too.

your right he either hits a homerun or he strikes out doesnt usually get any base hits in the clutch but i dont think hes overrated because he hit 100 hr really fast and he still hits alot h**l probably get about 40 this year
