Hi,

Well my birthday is coming up soon. We are shooting of lots of fireworks because its on the Fourth of July. Its going to be my sixteen birthday. Im with my mom right now and all my friends are a state away. Where my dad lives, where i live mainly. But my horse is also there too. So I really want to go riding for my birthday. My mom does not have has much money has my dad.

It cost 70 to ride for 1/2 hr.

100 to ride for 1 hr.

150 to ride for 1 1/2 hr.

190 to ride for 2 1/2

thats for five people.

Do you think thats a good deal? We will go for an hr.

Im going to try to help my mom and mike to pay. I have ten dollars already. And im going to try to get more.

But i really want this for my presant.

Any ideas that will help me pay for it?

and does it sound like a good deal?

thanks.

  1. no this is a big rip off we do it for like half the price no joke call my boss for more details!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Yes, i'ts a great deal for five people---I just don't think 2 hours is long enough. Maybe it's just me.

  3. It's DEFINETLY a good deal. It's your sixteenth birthday dammit! You should be able to spend a bit of money. It will only be 500 dollars, And for 5 people, h**l ya! Definetly do it. You shouldn't even have to pay, it's ur b-day! It's your SIXTEENTH birthday! Ever here of sweet sixteen?

  4. Yeah its a really good deal, because it's your birthday and your mom should do something special that you want because you were pulled away from the animal you love. But if i were to go riding i would bargain for 15 dollars for 1/2 hour. its a way better deal than 70 dollars for a 1/2 hour. it just depends on where you ride at, and how nice and dependable the stable is.

  5. I think that you should go riding and help what ever you can to pay for them even if that means that you have to sell your fireworks.

  6. Ask your dad out for help... If you work with your own horse and know how to clean tack and stuff then go up to the stable where you guys are going riding for your birthday and ask if you can do some stable work in exchange for some of the payment of riding... let them know its your 16th birthday and that your mom is going through hard times...  maybe they will let you help out... Or go to just any stable and ask to clean tack charge like 5 dollars to clean and condition a bridle 20 dollars to clean and condition saddle, 15 dollars to muck out a stall and clean buckets and put in fresh shavings... ask around for dog walking, baby sitting lawn mowing. Anything you can do do it! and have fun on your ride and happy birthday in advance!

  7. $100 sounds a bit steep, but I don't know how much an average ride should cost. Have you tried to Haggle? Try to negotiate a discount since it will be your birthday. If the business that sells the horse rides is any reasonable, you should be able to negotiate something. Go for a 20% discount! = $80!

Get as much recycling as you can before your birthday comes! Sell those glass/plastic/aluminum things fast!

  8. $20 per hour per rider is pretty reasonable in our area....but I guess it depends on where you are located.  The usual kinds of kids jobs are babysitting, mowing lawns, walking dogs etc.  You might check with the stable where you would be riding to see if they need anyone to clean stalls.  Happy 16th Birthday!!!

  9. I think it would be nice to go for a ride on your birthday.  Any chance on returning the fireworks for extra cash to help pay for it?

  10. It's $100 for all five people to ride for an hour?  If so, that's a good deal - only $20/hour for each person.

Can your mom hook you up with any babysitting jobs, or pet sitting, yard work, etc?  Would your dad be willing to help out to give you what you really want for your birthday?
