Here's a good one for you. A few months back I got a ThinkPad G40 from work. They were going to throw it away because they couldn't get it to power up. I brought it home and messed with it a little. Found I hand power up to the connector for the Keyboard, which also has the power button on it. So I figured it was a bad keyboard. I tore the keyboard apart and was able to jump it across and get the laptop to fire up. Been using it like this for the past couple months now. I just bought a different keyboard thinking like I said that the keyboard was bad and was hoping to fix the problem with a different one. Wrong answer. It's doing the same thing with the new keyboard as it was when I got it. Any suggestions?
