Thinking about Moving to Germany or Japan in Future?

Well, I'm only a freshmen in highschool, but I am getting bored of the US. I live in Florida, and I went to New Hampshire for a while and everything in US stills seems kind of old to me.

I was thinking about maybe in the future moving to Japan with my friend, or move to Germany since half-German FTW! :D

I just want a clue of the pros and cons of both countries.

I'm going to try to take Japanese as a class in college and learn some of it every Summer at home. At school, I'm going to be taking German probably every year.

I like computers and thought of becoming a software engineer or someone else who works in computers and thought those would be good countries for me job.

I do get moving issues but talking to a family member would clear that up. I'm a talker. :D

I learned some about sengoku period Japan and little of the language. (very little)

Can someone give me advise who have moved to one of those countries or has been in my situation?

  1. The us is a great place, but i would recommend leaving till like early to mid 30's.

  2. you are stupid, get a f$#k life, seriously

  3. I left the US for Germany when I was 19, I never even once thought about going back and have no regrets.  They need software engineers.  Salaries are about the same, but the wookweek is only 35 hrs and everyone gets 6 weeks vacation per year.

There is also a lot less social pressure to conform to everyone else in Europe - people accept different strokes more than US Americans, this actually makes it more free.  You will also be welcomed in all bars & pubs at the age of 16.

If you feel like going, finish school first and then get going as soon as you can, don't let anyone discourage you.  I had plenty trying to discourage me, and I'm glad I didn't listen to their eternal wisdom (they are still sitting on the same barstool in the same corner bar they were sitting at 17 years ago complaining about the same stuff instead of doing something about it.).

Japan is cool too, but Germany will be easier to assimilate to.  You can blend in and be accepted once you learn the language in Germany, but in Japan you will always be an outsider regardless.

  4. The future is NOW....
