  1. Gotta agree with chopperchopster. All softtails DO NOT have as much suspension travel as a swing arm does. This might not necessarily be a bad thing, depending on your riding style/comfort requirements.

  2. I have a shop I build custim bikes and work on all makes and models.the only thing I dont like about about softails is not very much shock travel and when it gets to the end of the shock travel wham! just like riding a ridgid. And most {not all} softail owners get a lowering kit which just makes it worse. They are O.K. around town I wouldnt want to ride one lomg distance. And I do some long rides on a ridgid all the time.

  3. I have a Dyna Street Bob 2008, it's bare knuckle, bare bones old scholl hawg. I love it. I wanted a soft tail at first but got this instead. Follow the link.

  4. The 2009 Softails are wonderful Beautiful, well built. You can't see the rear suspension or the rear fender support. It's got a trick hidden pillion seat. I'm thinking of getting one too and I'm no huge Harley fan.

  5. I have a heritage 1993 (softtail) over 140,000 miles it's a great bike.

  6. Great machines, however, keeping it secure can be a problem.

Once gang members see you riding it they tail you home, usually just in an inconspicuous car, get your address, then one day bang they're in there and your bike is gone.

  7.         I just bought a 98 fat boy and about the only thing I dislike is it's 4.2 gallon tank
