  1. You dont say how much you want to spend or what kind of people you are.  One of my favorites is Coconut Coast Villas on St John.  Small pool, full kitchen, close to town, friendly people and on the ocean. Cant beat that!!

  2. St. John has the best beaches.  Gallows Point and The Westin are both on the beach. Everything is in walking distance.  I highly recommend going to St. John.  My husband is from there and I have a blast everytime that I go.  Have fun!!!

  3. If you're going to do the major tourist experience, then you should definitely hit St. Thomas.  But if you prefer a quieter vacation, try St. Croix.  There are many little hotels in downtown Christiansted that you could stay at, depending on what your preferences are.  St. John is beautiful, but it's also very expensive...sort of the "rich people's" island.  If you've got time, you should definitely take the ferry over there to see the beaches.

  4. Check out Secret Harbour on St Thomas. It has a beautiful beach and close to great restaurants in Red Hook. But, I'm sorry to say you can't walk to the restaurants. You will need to take a cab. The roads are too dangers to walk on at night. Roads are curvy and dark. Most people rent a car, take the bus during the day or grab a cab.

There is a nice restaurant on property.

    good luck and enjoy)

  5. St. Thomas, by far.  Stay at Frenchman's Reef Marriott, they have beach, beautiful swimming pools, you take ferry boat to town.  From there, you can take very nice ferry boat ride over to St. John.  Not as much to do there, except for nice beaches.  But boatride well worth it and quite close and inexpensive to ride.  I would not bother going to St. Croix, although you can go by ferry if you really want to.  But much much farther away, and not worth it.  Stay on St. Thomas, visit St. John.  I would not stay anywhere on St. Thomas other than Frenchman's Reef Marriot.  And I definately would never rent a car (you will see why).  Taxi from airport to Frenchman Reef hotel, about $10-12  per person, plus $2 per bag.  Use their ferry boat $6 to get to town.  Absolutely beautiful views.  Get the side facing the harbor in the Tower, not an ocean side view.  You will see when you get there.  Note:  bring some of own food, it pretty expensive to eat there.  St. John, a good one day trip.  Leave Port charlotte, return via Red Hook ferry,as Red Hook goes into late night, but last trip to  Charlotte Amelie is very early (about 3 pm).  Once back in Red Hook, just take taxi back to hotel, then you'll see why you don't want to rent a car.  I would not stay at resort near Red Hook, as Red Hook not very nice.   Stay at Frenchmans, you can't go wrong there.
