Question:

Thinking about becoming a corner back...

I've only played one year of football and it was in 6th grade so it didn't really matter, but other than that I haven't played on a football team. I'm thinking about playing football as a sophomore and I want to play corner. I'm 5'7 125. I would like some tips on how to become a good corner back and become the starter and what to expect during practices.

  1. Dont worry man dont let people tell you u cant do it, I joined sophomore year too and I weighed 120 5'8. I put a bunch of time in the gym and now im 135 pounds and a starting cornerback at a good school. Just a bit of athletecism and knowledge of the game is all you need.

BTW most corners are shorter than the WRS (just look at the NFL) but they make up for that in speed and explosiveness
