I am a 25 year old woman with 3 years of college under my belt. due to financial reasons I was forced to leave school before obtaining my degree. Recently I have been consumed with the thought of finding a career, and life goal. Becoming a police officer has become increasingly more appealing to me. Is it very difficult as a female to get into law enforcement? Are there any aptitude tests online that show if I might score well on the police exam?

  1. I take it you are in the USA??

You may want to check out this link:

http://www.policeprep.com/public/SampleP...  , they also offer a Canadian version if you're up North.

  2. I've seen some tests, but they charge a fee.

As long as you have common sense and decision making skills, you will do well on a police exam.

  3. You kidding me? Woman are a shoe in when it comes to getting hired. As long as you haven't done something really stupid and can do the physical like the guys you will have no problems. I'd finish that degree. If you get hired it could be years before you go back. Plus it helps with getting hired.

  4. There are many police exam study guides and practice tests available online and in print, and they are relatively inexpensive. It is not very difficult for a qualified female candidate to get into law enforcement. Some agencies have a difficult time recruiting qualified female applicants. Three years of college will certainly benefit you. Check out http://www.peaceofficerjobs.com for excellent information about obtaining a law enforcement officer job.

  5. It is as difficult for a female as a male. In some cases it can be easier. Many departments want to encourage women to join. Check for academy's in your area and go for it.
