Question:

Thinking about changing baby's food

Our baby boy will be 14 weeks now on Friday...he's been doing really well...was 15lb in weight last week and is a happy little man....he had been sleeping through the night but now wakes up again at around 3am or 4am for a bottle and looks for another one around 6am or 7am...he's currently on SMA Gold and takes 8 or 9 ounces every four hours or so....so he's a hungry baby...we're thinking about changing him now to the "hungrier babies" SMA....do you think that's a good idea? We're assuming he's not getting enough when a 9 ounce bottle going to bed doesn't satisfy him all night....

  1. sounds like he is going through a growth spurt my baby is doing the same thing but wont drink more than six onces

  2. Ask your dr first. he could possibly just be going through a growth spurt, they do that periodically.

  3. ask your doctor and also ask if it would be ok to give him a little bit of cereal

  4. Yes, try him on the hungry baby SMA, won't do any harm and you could have a word about introducing solids with health visitor next time you see her, but I think this is not recommended until around 6 months now.
