Thinking about getting a purity ring?

im THINKING about getting a purity ring, and i was hoping someone could tell me ALL the details. ik what its for but i just want to know everything about it before i get one.

A purity ring is a ring you wear to show your commitment to staying pure until you are married. Meaning, not having s*x until you are married.  You need to think about your life, and how you want to live.  If this is something that means a lot to you, get one, but if you are only getting one because a lot of people are right now, don't.

Basically, it's a promise to your parents and to god that you won't have s*x (intercorse or any type of oral) or anything like it before you're married. It shows your commitment to remaining pure. It's kind of one of those things that you shouldn't get unless you're serious about it, and not just getting one because it's a trend. But yeah, they have a million different styles or rings, some are relatively unexpensive and some are extremely expensive. It's a really good thing to do. I personally do not have one, and do not want one because I'm not sure I can keep that promise, but I really respect anyone that does have one...well the people that actually keep the promise. It's a good thing to think about, but don't get one unless you're 100% sure.

A purity ring just means that you promise your parents that you will stay pure. Some people make it mean they wont have s*x untill they are married and then others make it mean that they will not drink/do drugs/ect. I would ask your parents what they expect from you before you except the ring from them. You must know that by taking the ring your parents will start to look at you as a young adult and that can be nerver racking for some people, just try to stay true to the guidelines you set up and have fun being a kid!

The Purity Ring is amazing and has a great meaning. It means not to have "it" untill you are married. I have one too!!! Hope i helped!!!

It is a commitment ring to say you will not have s*x until you are married and you should really get one my cousin has one and she loves it
