Thinking about going into comics...?

Question

I have a GREAT idea for a new comic book character but I have no idea where to start. Right now I'm just working on who the main character is and why does he get these powers and who he is. I have an idea of what the first story is going to look like. Also, I need artists, where is the best place to look for people that can draw? I can't draw at all.

What are the steps in making a comic book great?

What do comic fans want to see in a comic that make them want to read it more?

How can I get this off the ground?

If you can't draw then try writing a book for it first, that what I did then I gave it to my friend and he's illustarting it into a comic. Much easier if you take it one step at a time.
