  1. Lasik is great, and it works.  But if you have cataracts, laser surgery won't do anything for you unless you have them removed.  Most doctors wait until cataracts get to a certain point before they have to be removed, and then once you do get them out, you may not even need glasses anymore.  Many ppl see very clear when they are removed.  Cataracts are a normal part of aging and everyone will eventually get them.  Insurance does cover some cataract surgeries, so check w/ your carrier and your doctor to know all those details.

  2. I had laser eye surgery a few years ago, it has changed my life!

The two most common procedures are "lasik and laseck", the cheapest too. I had the one that was safer for not getting infections but longer to heal. The doctor will give you a full, thorough eye exam to see if you are suitable for surgery. the before and after care is free and very good.

I would recommend some prescription pain relief for after surgery, it`s really painful for a few days.

Worth it though! Lot`s of drops for your eyes for a few weeks also.

Mine was £600 per eye, now the same opticians £395 per eye! I would do your research before hand, make sure the equipment is really up to date etc!

I don`t understand why you can`t have cataracts removed on the NHS, I know people who have had it done!!!

    Good luck!  lucinder x

  5. Don't do it. Why risk blindness if it goes wrong.
