my sister is doing her baby's room in pink and brown circles, this is the bedding she is doing, http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5854566 , but she can't find a mobile to go with it...so i was thinking i could go out and just buy one cheap and untie the things that hang on it off, and stick new ones on it...so my question is does anyone know where i can get pink stuffed balls, and brown ones that are small enough to do this with....i would need 4 to complete the mobile.....or if you know of one that would match, that would work too

  1. It's a mobile. Don't make it look like everything else in the room make it look so awesome the baby wants to see it . Put some pictures of the " great " Aunt , Mommy and Daddy I don't know but don't make that mobile the same as every other baby's that's parents got their bedding from Walmart ....Make it special

  2. That bedding is super cute!  You could go to Wal-Mart or a craft store, I like Hobby Lobby, and buy styrafoam balls in what ever size you want and cover them.  It would be cute to use brown and pink feathers to make it fluffy.  Or you could use fabric, paper, etc. to decorate them.  The styrafoam balls would be light weight.

You could also cut out circles or rings from scrapbook paper.  Vary the size and mix rings with circles.  You can use ribbons, glitter, vellum, all sorts of fun things to embellish them.  Just make sure that the baby can't get a hold of it if you go that route.

If you want fabric balls but can't sew then you could check with a senior citizen center in your town.  They usually have ladies who are good seamstresses and they are always looking for projects to do.  You might also check with an alteration business in your town.  Sometimes they'll do small sewing projects.

If you're up for a sewing them yourself look at a pattern book in a craft/fabric store or online and you'll probably find a pattern for making stuffed balls.

    Good luck!!

  3. You might check with your local craft or fabric stores.

You could try making some.... use some ribbon and foam balls.  A little glue would hold the ribbon in place.  I know the foam 'balls' come in a variety of sizes.  Wooden beads would be another option (finished or unfinished... get unfinished, and you can paint them)

I'd just suggest that anything you use, make it big enough it won't be a choke hazard, if it were to fall within the baby's reach, and use non-toxic paints, if you paint.

    Have Fun
