Thinking about new middle/surnames?

Question

My first name is Matthew and I'm looking for a new middle name and surname, although just names in general would be cool. Something fairly unique but not so unusual that I'm given strange looks every time I write a cheque!

At the moment I like 'Cloud' as a surname, and 'Dee' as a middle name, but are they too offbeat?

Maybe add an "n" to Dee to make it Deen for a middle name, as Dee mainly has female usage. Then you have:

Matthew Deen ....... Whatever you like for a surname...

Just a thought..

Have you thought of having an ancestral surname. Have you done your family Genealogy and is there perhaps a name that you like and feel you can identifiy with. Perhaps there is someone you admire from your research in respect of that. That could give you a name that is at least meaningful to you.
