  1. i was on borth control for 2 years. well april of 07 i stopped taking my birth control because my boyfriend and i were TTC. well I NEVER had a period for a year and 4 months. I know its horrible but true. Aug 4 08 i finally went to the doc to see what was wrong and they didnt know that day so they took my blood to check my thyroid for my hormones and they never called. So i called them Aug 12 08 and my test came back good. Well......a couple hours later, my period FINALLY came! weird huh?! So we had s*x like everyother day but I dont know when I am fertile since i didnt have a period in so long. if im "regular" my period should come around sept 6 or 7...so we will see what happens!!!...sorry for the long story but what im getting at is i dont think its possible to get pregnant with out a period. or its very rare...but good luck LOTSSSS of baby dust!!!!

  2. You cant have a baby without a period. I would get whatever it is checked out and fixed. Good luck!

  3. Just from working at a fertility clinic.  First if you have PCOS, you need to get on a low carb diet.  Your blood sugar plays a hugh role in your hormones, ovulation and egg quality.  Next you need to find a Reproductive Endocrinologist.  If you have PCOS they can make sure, also get your back on a cycle.Treatment is important because PCOS can progress, leading to other conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and high cholesterol. Recently developed natural and medical therapies are consistently effective and outpatient surgery and fertility therapies can successfully aid in re-establishing a woman’s ovulation. In this practice, pregnancy and long-term relief from these symptoms are realistic goals for women with PCOS, including restoring hormones, reducing and preventing weight gain, removing unwanted hair, and preventing additional hair growth

  4. It's possible to get pregnant with irregular periods, but it may be more difficult.  The "average" couple has a 20% chance of conceiving, and it usually takes around 8 months.  I would listen to your doc and see a fertility endocrinogist though to be certain (and they can also check for dozens of other potential problems).  They would likely put you on Metformin, to help you start ovulating again.

  5. The way it worked for me was i didnt have a period at ALL. so the doctor had me get an ultrasound and bloodworks. i was neg for PCOS. then she put me on bc for 3 months to get a period and kinda get me on a regular cycle. at the end of my 3rd cycle on bc she gave me clomid 50 mg to take on the 5-9th day of my period. that might be the best way to go for you 2. but before you can get clomid or any other med. the doctor needs to run tests on you and your bf because you taking fertility meds wont help if your bf is the problem. in my case my bf already has a daughter so we were sure it wasnt him. so to answer your question

    1. you can get your period back by getting on bc for a while to regulate it.

    2. lose/gain weight. if you are over or underweight that could cause your period to stop

    3. nothing is ever certain. but ive never met anyone who got pregnant from not having a period at all.

  6. I think your chances are very slim to getting pregnant. I do know there are many possiblities out there for you to TRY and at least have a child. Have you even tried getting pregnant at all yet?

I think you should seek your local doctor and ask Him/Her questions about it or check it out online!

    Best Luck to you

  7. No it is not certain, but you are not having periods and it is most likely that you are not ovulating too. Most women will begin to bleed fourteen days after they ovulate. So you may ovulate, and get pregnant without having a period at all. The herb vitex aka chaste tree berries I've read has a natural effect on your body to cause ovulation. I have been successful regulating my periods with a tincture of chaste tree berries. So I'm a big believer. I don't know if it will help you, but I think it's worth a try. It took a while though for me to become completely normal, but I did see results right away. So don't give up! Good luck and best wishes!
