  1. It depends on your goals. If you are looking for quantity (ie: you want to see the most you can possibly see in 2 weeks), I would suggest starting and ending in Paris. In between, depending on what time of the year you go, I would head South -- 3 days driving through the Alps and staying in cute villages (and some bigger cities like Grenoble and Lyon) along the way, 3 days in Provence - you can stay in Aix or Eze and visit around those areas. You will need at least a week in Paris to do it justice.

For your time in Paris, some tips:

--> Stay in the city, not in the outskirts... it will make your trip more enjoyable.

--> Don't waste your time on tourist traps... Go see the Eiffel tower, but it is not worth your time to go to the top - you have just as good of a view from the rooftop cafe at Samaritaine or even from Montmartre.

--> Walk... a lot. It is the best way to get to know the city intimately. If your legs get tired, the metro is both efficient and easy to use. Watch your pockets!

--> Take time to enjoy everything. Don't simply go do something because you feel like you have to do it. Take your time to process what you are looking at.

--> Take advantage of the local easy food (often cheap) from Cafes and Bakeries (and the Gyros in the Latin Quarter) but bring lots of money (if you are coming from the US)... the Euro will kill you.

That's all I can think of. You will have an amazing trip!

  2. All depend what you search. Old, young cities ? Visiting museum ? To be in countryside ?

  3. Well, Paris obviously, the Loire chateaux (especially Chambord), and either the French Riviera (anywhere from Nice to Monaco) or the Atlantic coast south of Bordeaux  and the Basque country.

  4. Two weeks is barely enough time to see Paris in anything more than a very superficial manner.

Since you give no indication that you have previously visited France I suggest you go to Paris and take the time to see it.

Running around wasting time on trains and changing hotels makes no sense when you have only this very brief time. Anyone who would get bored with Paris in two weeks would have to have the attention span of a hamster.

  5. One of the major things is...EURO DISNEY!!! lol no im jk...Eiffel tower is amazing, and if you can't afford to go up there, you can drive under it. The palace of Versailles is really fancy, and if you're an artsy person, visit the Louvre, theres' all sorts of neat things there. hope that helps.
